The Liechtenstein Government and the British Tax Authority Her Majesty'sRevenue and Customs (HMRC) have published another Joint Declaration to the Memorandum of Understanding of 2009 and the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility (LDF).
The Fifth Joint Declaration recognises the continuing success of the unique arrangements between the United Kingdom and Liechtenstein on tax cooperation. The Declaration contains necessary clarifications with respect to the final compliance date which was brought forward to 31 December 2015.
At the same time both Parties confirm their intention to conclude a further Joint Declaration before the end of 2015 to cover areas and opportunities of future cooperation.
Prime Minister Adrian Hasler met with HMRC Director Andy Cole on the occasion of his farewell visit to Vaduz. Delegations from Liechtenstein and the HMRC discussed a number of topices regarding the implementation of the current arrangements as well as areas of future cooperation. Liechtenstein and the United Kingdom will build on their outstanding and close partnership and intend to further deepen their relationship.
