Bern (ots)

The Board of Directors of BKW Inc. has appointed 44-year-old Christophe Bossel as the new Head of BKW's Networks Division. He will join the Group Executive Board on 1 March as successor to Suzanne Thoma, who has held the office of CEO of BKW Inc. since the beginning of this year. With the exception of two vacant positions, this implements the decision of 25 January to change BKW's Group Executive Board in line with the reorganisation. Hermann Ineichen is Head of the Generation Division, and as CFO Beat Grossenbacher is responsible for managing the Finance & Service Division.

Christophe Bossel, a graduate of the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne with a degree in engineering and material sciences and an Executive Master of Business Administration, joined BKW in January 2012 as Head of Asset Management at the Networks Division. Since the beginning of this year he has acted as interim head of the division. Before joining BKW the native of French-speaking Switzerland, who speaks fluent German, held senior management positions at various industrial concerns, latterly in the development of medical equipment and as Head of Production at Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). Christophe Bossel is married and has four children.

With Christophe Bossel as new Head of Networks, Hermann Ineichen as Head of Generation and Beat Grossenbacher as CFO, the senior management level of the new Group structure is now largely in place. The positions of Head of Market and Head of Renewables and Efficiency have been advertised. With its new Group structure, BKW is positioning itself optimally to meet changed market requirements.
