Emergency shutdown due to faulty controller in feedwater system B
Bern (ots)
On 6 July 2015 at 11.03 a.m., there was a controller failure in strand B of the feedwater system. This led to an automatic reactor scram. The cause of the failure is currently being clarified.
The reactor is in a safe state. No increased radioactivity was released. The competent authority, the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI, was informed immediately.
The plant will be started up again following repair work and approval by the ENSI.
