BKW boosts building technology planning

BKW has acquired Aicher, De Martin, Zweng AG (ADZ), a leading building technology planning firm. In doing so, it is expanding its presence in this area throughout German-speaking Switzerland. With ADZ and ahochn in its portfolio, BKW is now one of the largest planning consultancies in the Swiss building technology sector.
BKW aims to offer its customers comprehensive and integrated services. This is why it continues to systematically promote the expansion of building technology planning. The acquisition of ADZ will make a key contribution in this area. The company is active in the planning of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), as well as in the areas of building automation, laboratory planning, energy and sustainability and plant-specific fire protection.
The planning firm, with offices in Lucerne, Basel and Zurich, works on demanding building technology projects throughout German-speaking Switzerland. For example, ADZ planned the entire HVAC technology and building automation for the Swissporarena in Lucerne and also coordinated the building technology for this project. The company was also commissioned to carry out the HVAC planning and to coordinate the building technology for the Sihlcity shopping centre in Zurich.
ADZ has built up extensive expertise in building technology planning over four decades. It currently employs a total of 60 staff at its head office in Lucerne and at its subsidiaries in Basel and Zurich. Over the past few years the company has generated annual revenue in the lower double digit millions. ADZ is owner-managed and will continue to be operated as an independent company.
