Kabira To Show 3G Real-Time Mediation, Charging And Provisioning In Live Demonstration At 3GSM Cannes

Kabira Technologies Inc., a provider of software solutions for convergent network services that are fully integrated across network, operational and business systems, announced today that it will conduct live demonstrations of several new product enhancements for Kabira Service Provisioning and Activation, IPDR support within Kabira xDR Mediation, in addition to the first unveiling of its new Parlay Gateway service modules at 3GSM World Congress in Cannes France. Demonstrations will be held at the Kabira Technologies Booth D13, Hall 2 for the duration of the 3GSM event, 19-22 February 2002.
3G Mediation - in partnership with Cap Gemini, Convergys and Volubill
Based upon the Kabira xDR Mediation framework, this demonstration presents a complete solution for 3G service mediation including:
- Convergent network and service mediation
- Operator portal management
- Leakage & loss Management
- Pre-paid management
- 3rd party content charging
- Real-time billing & rating
- Real-time service and network baring
- 3G Activation with Order Processing
This demonstration, built on the Kabira Service Provisioning and Activation framework and the new Order Processing module, features real-time activation with a self-care interface. The company will demonstrate direct translation of marketing rules to live provisioned services, supported by the open architecture of Kabira Service Provisioning and Activation framework.
IPDR - Netflow and Radius Support:
3G wireless and wireline media will support complex IP based services such as multi-casting, conferencing, voice and video over IP, and other advanced session and session-less packet services. This demonstration shows real-time collection and processing of IPDR records along with correlation with other operator's network elements.
Parlay Gateway Services:
The Parlay Group is an open multi-vendor consortium formed to develop open technology-independent Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that enable next-generation network service providers to develop applications and technology solutions that operate across multiple networking platform environments. Kabira announced its membership in the Parlay Group in January 2001. Since then, Kabira has been working actively with other Parlay members and customers to define commercial grade services based on Parlay APIs.
