Diaphonics Chooses Brooktrout Speech Recognition Platform To Help Reduce Telephone And Internet Fraud
Needham, MA (ots)
Voice Biometrics Prevent Fraud And Enhance Security In Business Transactions
Brooktrout Technology, Inc., a leading provider of innovative hardware and software platforms that enable applications for the New Network(tm), today announced that Diaphonics, a developer of voice-driven security technologies, has selected Brooktrout's TR1000(tm) media resource platform for use in its Spike Server. Spike Server is a complete hardware and software solution that identifies callers with voice biometrics that records key parts of transactions and creates a secure and searchable audit trail of customer and employee interactions. Transactions include stock trades, product ordering or any credit card transaction made over the phone.
Diaphonics integrated Brooktrout's advanced TR1000 automatic speech recognition (ASR) functionality with its proprietary SoundByte audio processing technology to provide advanced audio processing and telephony call control. The TR1000's industry-leading echo cancellation capability offers greater barge-in performance that enables Spike Server to offer a better user experience. SoundByte extracts signal information from an audio file to create a small digital watermark of the larger file, enabling Spike Server to connect the caller's identity to the transaction for financial services, brokerage firms, and government, law enforcement and healthcare agencies.
"We chose Brooktrout's TR1000 platform because it provides a stable, open platform with exposed APIs," said Jeremy Bernard, Director of Marketing for Diaphonics. "Also, as a member of Brooktrout's Partner Access Network Program, we were able to take advantage of Brooktrout's Partner Lab Access service where we tested our application and worked one-on-one with Brooktrout support representatives."
The TR1000 media resource platform is the industry's highest density ASR platform with full-duplex capability and echo cancellation on all channels, which provides for more scalable solutions at a lower per-port cost. The TR1000 is optimized for carrier-grade speech solutions, such as speech-enabled unified communications, Internet voice messaging, personal agents (find me/follow me services), and automated operator services.
