Hamburg based Conergy AG, the European solar company with the highest
sales volume and the world’s largest system integrator, signed a
contract with China’s number one solar module and cell manufacturer
Suntech Power. Solar modules worth at least $270 million are
scheduled for delivery to Conergy in 2007. This amount represents a
manifold volume increase of Suntech Power solar modules supplied to
Conergy compared to 2006. The high-quality and efficient Suntech
Power modules shall be used in Conergy Group’s construction sites
around the world. With this contract, Conergy now has secured the
supply of more modules than required to accomplish the planned growth
of its worldwide solar business in 2007. Furthermore, the partnership
with Suntech Power also includes the joint realization of specific
product features with the aim of even better fulfilling the needs of
Conergy’s global customers.
