Berlin, July 8, 2010 - On the occasion of the convening of the regular Annual General Meeting, Beta Systems Software AG (BSS, ISIN DE0005224406) is today releasing the list of candidates proposed for regular election to the Supervisory Board. This year's Annual General Meeting of shareholders will take place on August 17, 2010, in Berlin. The following candidates representing the shareholders have been proposed for election to the Company's Supervisory Board:

If elected Dr. Lewald would stand for the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Sebastian Leser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Beta Systems Software AG, commented as follows: "The composition we are aiming for is designed to take account of the fact that Beta Systems is entering a new phase in its development following the sale of the ECM business. Given the "Buy & Build" innovation strategy, the agenda of the Supervisory Board will be increasingly concerned with topics relating to products and technology. In drawing up our proposals for election, we have therefore place special emphasis on candidates who have a wide range of experience and expertise in the European IT sector, along with the know-how necessary for fulfilling Supervisory Board duties. By taking on the position of Chairman of the intended Advisory Council of Beta Systems Software AG, it will be my pleasure to remain closely connected with the company in an advisory capacity for strategic, operational and M&A activities."
The period of office of the current Supervisory Board members ends in accordance with the Articles of Association upon conclusion of this year's regular Annual General Meeting. In the run-up to the Annual General Meeting, Mr. Peter Becker, Cologne, and Mr. Stefan Hillenbach, Berlin, have been elected by the employees as their representatives on the Supervisory Board.
