Bad Soden, May 22, 2008 - TRIPLAN AG (ISIN: DE 000 7499303) closes the first three months 2008 successfully. The company generates revenues in the amount of 10,801 TEUR (previous year: 13,199 TEUR) in the first quarter 2008. The decline in revenues refers mainly to two considerable effects. On the one hand, the first quarter 2007 included the activity-peak of a major project in the engineering segment, on the other hand, TRIPLAN generates more revenues in the segment technology services. Due to the joint venture with Neilsoft Ltd., the IT-segment was in large part spun-off in a new company.
On the profit side, TRIPLAN generates an EBIT in the amount of 1,127 TEUR after 615 TEUR in the first quarter 2007. The net profit after minority interest is in the amount of 887 TEUR after 218 TEUR to the comparable period of the previous year. This leads to an earnings per share (diluted/undiluted) of 0.09 EUR after 0.02 EUR as of march 31, 2007.
The cash and cash equivalents amount to the accounting date, march 31, 2008, 6,168 TEUR after 4,799 TEUR in the first quarter 2007. The equity-ratio is 59.3 percent after 47.7 percent in the comparable period of 2007.
The Management Board expects revenues of 42.3 mn EUR (approximately 4 mn EUR revenues dropped out of the Technology Service Segment) and an EBIT of 2.6 mn EUR for the business year 2008. The statet prognosis does not include special items from project settlements and mergers & acquisitions. The strategy of the Management tends to a sustainable development in profit.
