Christoph Egger, member of the management board, is to leave Jungfrau Railways. He has decided to seek a new challenge.
Christoph Egger has been manager of the First Aerial Cableway since 1999. The company was merged with the Jungfraubahn Holding AG in 2004. In the following year he was elected to the management board of Jungfrau Railways. As Head of Winter Sport and the First Aerial Cableway, he played a decisive role in the further development of the company and the Jungfrau Ski Region, heading projects such as the construction of the Schilt, Honegg and Eigernordwand chairlifts. He also realized the installation of snow-making facilities in the Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg and Grindelwald-First ski areas. The First Flyer was also installed under his management, adding to the attraction of the First region.
Christoph Egger will leave Jungfrau Railways before the 2011/2012 winter season. The exact date is as yet open. Jungfrau Railways will search for a successor.
