Choose your favourite scientific image!

The Swiss National Science Foundation is inviting the public to choose their favourite scientific image or video until 31 March 2021.

Microscopic observations, unusual environments, researchers at work... More than 2000 images have been submitted to the SNSF Scientific Image Competition since its launch in 2017. To celebrate the fifth edition, the SNSF is inviting the public to share their vision of science by choosing their favourite photo or video on www.BestScienceImage.ch.

The public can choose from between 50 photographs and 15 videos. This pre-selection, from all the entries since the competition was launched in 2017, was made by 20 graphic design students of the Arts College Bern/Biel. This year's public vote complements the regular competition, which will be judged by the official jury as usual.

Public voting is open until 31 March 2021. Participants can win a large-scale print of their favourite picture and tickets for the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography, where the winning images and videos will be exhibited from 7 to 30 May 2021.
