PRIMACOM REPORTS IMPROVED REVENUES AND OPERATING RESULTS
FOR THE SECOND QUARTER AND FIRST SIX MONTHS OF 2004 (E)

Mainz, August 27, 2004: PrimaCom reports further improved consolidated revenues and operating results for the second quarter and first six months of 2004.
Second quarter 2004 revenues reached Euro 52.2 million, a 6.4 percent increase over the second quarter 2003.
The company significantly improved its operating profit to Euro 6.1 million in the second quarter of 2004 compared with Euro 4.4 million in the second quarter of 2003. This improvement is the result of continued cost control measures and increased revenues.
EBITDA for the second quarter of 2004 increased to Euro 27.0 million, a 7.2 percent increase over the second quarter 2003 EBITDA.
Net loss for the second quarter of 2004 was Euro 26.1 million compared with a net loss of Euro 23.2 million for the second quarter of 2003.
Revenues increased by Euro 6.5 per cent to Euro 103.3 for the first six months of 2004 compared with Euro 97.0 million in the first six months of 2003.
The operating profit for the first six months of 2004 significantly improved to Euro 11.6 million from Euro 7.1 million for the first six months of 2003.
EBITDA for the first six months of 2004 increased to Euro 53.2 million, a 10.8 percent increase over the first six months of 2003.
Net loss for the first six months of 2004 increased to Euro 52.1 million, a 12.3 higher than from the first six months 2003.
Revenue generating units increased by 33,723 or 2.4 per cent from 1,386,616 at June 30, 2003 to 1,420,339 at June 30, 2004. The primary factor responsible for the growth was the 63.4 per cent or 42,923 increase in high-speed internet subscribers.
PrimaCom continues to focus on revenue improvements, cost reduction management and profitability improvements and actively pursues all opportunities to reorganise its debt and equity structure.
