Cologne, 30th March 2007. VIVACON AG (ISIN 000604 8911) has acquired through its subsidiaries in various transactions a substantial residential real-estate portfolio consisting of 6,812 units in total. This includes the largest acquisition of residential units in the Companys history. The units are located in Bremen, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein and have a total rentable area of approximately 411,200 sqm. The occupancy rate is 85%.
The total residential units owned by VIVACON AG currently amount to some 11,100 units. In the first quarter, the Company therefore owns residential units corresponding to almost 90% of the total units sold in 2006. In addition, the Company expects to acquire further substantial residential real-estate portfolios in the near future.
