Ludwigsburg, 25 November 2002 - Jetter AG (Neuer Markt: JTT) notes the ongoing success of its cost-savings. The quarter at 30 September, which is being reported today, had to absorb restructuring costs of KEUR 850, however. But this is a one-time effect and only partially cash-relevant and will lead to sustainable savings of considerable impact. Without these costs, result for the six months would have been in line with the same period of the previous year. Considering that in the previous year, Jetter had capitalised about EUR 1 Mio. of development cost, the improvement in the cost structure can clearly be seen. Development cost is no longer capitalised in the current year, because large portions of JetWeb development are meanwhile finished and the products being marketed. As of 2003, the savings from the restructuring will further improve the profit situation significantly.
Due to the economy, sales remain lacklustre and on last years level. In the first six months of the fiscal year, Jetter recorded sales of KEUR 6,897. EBIT for the six months is KEUR -2,434, including one-time restructuring costs of KEUR 850.
