merger, acquisition and takeover
GRONEMEYER GmbH is one of the leading manufacturers of time management solutions: it offers comprehensive know-how in the form of standard software for time management, access control and personnel deployment planning. The company provides time management solutions from one single source, offering delivery, installation and support service - including time management terminals from the leading manufacturers Kaba, PCS and Datafox. The main focus area of the business is the time management product with approx. 300 customers. In the year 2008, the company achieved a total sales turnover of 2.3 million euros through that corporate sub-division and approx. 30 employees. As a leading supplier of integrated software solutions for human resources management, P&I AG is systematically pursuing its goal of supplying customers with innovative HR management solutions that deliver substantial benefits. By taking over GRONEMEYER Gesellschaft für Datentechnik, EDV und Organisationsberatung mbH, P&I AG is continuing to expand its competence with regard to its own time management solution. "To date we have achieved good marketability with our solution, which is still relatively new. We have already succeeded in landing over 180 customers for our integrated time management", states Vasilios Triadis, CEO P&I AG. As a result of the takeover, P&I AG is purchasing the core product APG 2000 and will thus have access to a platform-independent standard software product for time management that can be individually customised. At the same time, P&I AG is also positioning an attractive stand-alone product in this way. In the meantime the GRONEMEYER software has been used successfully for almost 20 years in the personnel area of small to medium-sized as well as large companies and organisations in Germany and in other German speaking countries. In addition to the takeover of just over 300 customers - approx. 50 of which in Switzerland and the Netherlands - Triadis perceives huge growth potential resulting from additional newly developed GRONEMEYER products, especially in the growth market involving access. The almost 30 employees of GRONEMEYER GmbH, which will continue to exist as an independent company in Höxter, will be taken over by P&I AG and thus integrated into a stock exchange listed, independent company with a European orientation. On the part of P&I, CEO Vasilios Triadis is especially pleased "about the extremely well-trained employees, most of whom have ITIL certification. The team of young employees is highly motivated and has very well-grounded know-how with regard to time management as well as time recording technology and access control systems. I am very pleased that those employees will be reinforcing our young team." Jens Gronemeyer, the founder of GRONEMEYER GmbH, remarks with optimism: "With the support of P&I, GRONEMEYER GmbH will evolve into the leading European premium supplier of time management. I am proud of the time I have enjoyed in the past with such competent staff. The vocational training that was established under the GRONEMEYER banner is to be continued in the future. I am very pleased about that." As a result of the acquisition, P&I AG is establishing itself definitively as a time management expert. The parties have agreed to maintain secrecy with respect to the amount of the purchase price.
