P&I Personal & Informatik AG in Zurich is taking over the shares of Mirus
Software AG in Davos as of March 1st, 2012. Mirus is a market leader in HR-
business in the hotel, catering and tourism industry.
In the future, both companies will offer an expanded product portfolio in
Switzerland and the European countries.
Wiesbaden / Davos (euro adhoc) - As of March 1st, 2012, P&I Personal &
Informatik AG is taking over the shares of Mirus Software AG, which is a market
leader for back office software in the hotel, catering and tourism industry in
Switzerland. P&I AG will gain strength locally and attain a stronger position in
the Swiss market as a result of the amalgamation. Mirus Software AG will be able
to benefit from the know-how of P&I. Furthermore, new distribution channels for
its products in the hotel sector will open up for Mirus Software AG in other
European countries.
P&I AG, which is domiciled in Horgen (ZE) and Carouge Acacias (GE) in
Switzerland, is the leading provider of integrated software solutions for human
resources management. The company was founded in 1968 and today it maintains a
Europe-wide presence at 13 locations. Most recently, the P&I Group achieved a
turnover of 69.1 million Euros and employed almost 400 people.
Vasilios Triadis, CEO of P&I AG, explains: "High standards are placed on the
quality of goods in the HR market in Switzerland. P&I aims to be the best
solution provider in that area. The objective we are pursuing with the
re-positioned Swiss P&I organisation and the acquisition of Mirus Software AG is
for Swiss SME sector companies to perceive us as a genuine alternative to
existing providers." In addition, we plan to be able to offer an even more
comprehensive product portfolio in Switzerland as well as in European countries.
Paul Petzold, managing director and administrative board member of Mirus
Software AG explains: "Our company is joining forces with a strong,
internationally oriented partner. That will enable us to further expand the
strong position of our company in the long term." Furthermore: "For Mirus
Software AG, joining forces with P&I AG is an important step for safeguarding
the future of the company. With regard to an optimal successor solution, for us
there was only one conceivable option for a partner that can continue to grow
together with Mirus and that cultivates a similar culture to ours."
In the future Mirus Software AG will retain its name and will remain at its
headquarters in Davos. The present employees will stay at the company. The
founders Paul Petzold and Oliver Hunziker will continue to fulfil their
responsibilities as managing director and CTO. They will also continue to serve
as members of the administrative board, which will be chaired by Paul Petzold as
in the past.
