Andres Gut, the long standing Chairman of the Board of Directors, is 
stepping down from his function for health reasons. The Board of 
Directors of Precious Woods Holding Ltd nominated Ernst A. Brugger 
Chairman ad interim and will propose his election at the next Annual 
General Meeting.

Ernst A. Brugger has been a member of the Board of Directors of 
Precious Woods Holding Ltd since 2004, presides the Organisation 
Committee and is a Member of the Strategy Commitee. He is Chairman of
the Board of Directors and Managing Partner of BHP - Brugger and 
Partner Ltd and is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The 
Sustainability Forum (TSF) in Zurich. In this function he has been 
pleading for the implementation of principles of sustainability in 
industrialised and developing economies. Furthermore he is member of 
the Board of Directors of several other stock listed and private 
owned companies.

Andres Gut was appointed to the Board of Directors of Precious Woods 
Holding Ltd at the beginning of 1997. The same year he became 
Chairman of the Board. He has been the driving force behind the 
growth of the Precious Woods Group and made it to one of the leading 
international companies in the sustainable management and use of 
tropical forests.

The Annual General Meeting of Precious Woods Holding Ltd will be held
on May 12th, 2009 in Zurich.

Precious Woods is an international company active in the sustainable 
management and use of tropical forests. The company's core activities
include reforestation and sustainable management of tropical forests,
timber processing and the trading of FSC-certified timber products. 
The generation of emission rights and electricity from recovery wood 
represent further integral elements of the company's business. The 
shares of Precious Woods Holding have been traded on the SWX Swiss
