Orange has received the best ratings in the mobile communications sector for the third consecutive time in the new telecommunications survey, which is drawn up each year by the business magazine Bilanz. Orange can also look back on a successful first six months and has expanded further as the only dedicated mobile phone operator in Switzerland.
For the sixth time, the business magazine Bilanz, together with an external consultancy company, has carried out a survey of approximately 20,000 business customers of the three operators. The results of the representative opinion poll, which is based on the criteria of quality, innovation, service, price and flexibility, will be published in today's edition of Bilanz. Orange obtained 20.9 points in total, an increase compared to previous years.
"This rating is important for us because it comes from the customers of all three operators", says Roland Stettler, Vice President Business Channels at Orange Switzerland. "Furthermore, it shows that not only growth of the business customer sector is important to us, but also that the quality of our services is assessed positively by customers."
In comparison to the previous year, Orange picked up more points for quality, price, flexibility and support. Further strengthening of business customer service and the care of business customers at Orange Centers certainly contributed to the overall positive feedback. Also, Orange has introduced new offers that are especially tailored to the requirements of business customers. These include Group Unlimited, an offer that enables all the employees of a company to call each other free of charge on their mobile phones and on their fix network. The Blackberry Internet service for SMEs, the Blackberry 7290 and the new Smartphones such as the Treo 650 and the SPV M500 and SPV C550 are some amongst the innovations of the past few months.
Orange sees further growth in the first six months
Overall, Orange posted a good first six months and now has 1.152 million customers (+3.2%). As the only dedicated mobile phone operator in Switzerland, Orange was able to increase turnover to CHF 644 million (+1.4%) in the first six months. Positive developments in the business customer sector particularly contributed to this, as some notable companies such as Coop, McDonalds and Dow in Switzerland have switched to Orange.
Furthermore, with the launch of UMTS services on 5 September, Orange has paved the way for further growth. Of particular interest to business customers are the two data cards, which can be used with a laptop for mobile working. The first data card (Novatel U530) for laptops with integrated WLAN receiver offers UMTS und GPRS connections. The second Mobile Office Card (Option Fusion) enables connections via UMTS, GPRS and WLAN. Both cards are available with attractive data price plans from CHF 49.- per month and are a real alternative to ADSL for the home or workplace.
