Eindhoven, July 5, 2005 - Catalis N.V. has closed previously
announced acquisition of competitor Check Disc Europe, Warsaw,
Poland.

Through the transaction Catalis N.V. will increase its capacity in
Europe by more than 25% and in parallel benefit from significant cost
advantages. Catalis N.V. does not rule out to transfer production
partly from London to Poland in the medium term and expects cost
benefits to materialize as early as 2005.

Parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Catalis N.V.
is financing the acquisition from operating cash flows.
