Eindhoven, August 01, 2005 - Catalis N.V. has generated revenues of euro 1.9 million in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2005 (Q1 2004: euro 1.2 million). The operating profit increased to euro 585,000 (previous year: euro 366,000) in Q2 2005.
Sales in the first half of 2005 improved by 50% from euro 2.3 million in 2004 to euro 3.4 million. Operating profit growth exceeded growth in sales and improved to euro 1.0 million in the first half of 2005 (previous year euro 0.6 million). This confirms the corporate strategy which is directed at profitable growth.
All key performance indicators have improved substantially in the first six months of the current fiscal year. Furthermore, in Q2 2005 Catalis has achieved initial successes in entering new markets and has generated more than 10% of its revenues such new markets. The areas of games testing and software testing, which were entered at the beginning of the year will be a key strategic areas going forward.
Based on positive performance in the first half of the year, Management increases its sales target for fiscal year 2005 from euro 6 million to 7 million.
