Solar-Fabrik AG (ISIN: DE0006614712) is back on track: Starting with
the acquisition of GEWD in 2005 and with the executed further
strategic steps the profitability of Solar-Fabrik has significantly
improved - and will improve furthermore. The development of
Solar-Fabrik from an initial solar panel manufacturer to an
international, fully integrated solar group shows success.

In the following you can see the improved financial figures of the
Group:  Solar-Fabrik AG finished the first half year of 2006 with an
after-tax profit of EUR 1,670,000. This is equivalent to an
improvement of EUR 4,063,000 compared to the first half-year of 2005.
Net earnings per share amount to EUR 0.21 (previous year: EUR -0.30).
As of June 30, 2006, earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) are EUR
1,679,000, approximately EUR 3,455,000 higher compared to the first
half-year 2005. The first half of 2006 was the best half year in
Solar-Fabrik’s history. The company is expecting to achieve an
all-time record result for the whole business year 2006.

Contrary to some recent press releases, demand for solar technology
is still on a very high level. Solar-Fabrik has definite indications
that the German solar market will develop well in the second half
year 2006. The high demand caused by export is particularly positive.
Due to these reasons Solar-Fabrik expects that the turnover will
continue to develop dynamically in the next months.

The first six months of the business year 2006 entirely fulfilled
management’s expectations. We confirm our previously released
forecast with an EBIT of EUR 4,000,000 for the whole business year
2006. Furthermore, we assume that we will significantly exceed this
expectation.
