Solar-Fabrik AG (ISIN DE0006614712) sees the need for a provision for doubtful accounts of up to US$ 9 million at its subsidiary Global Expertise Wafer Division Ltd. (GEWD) for the current fiscal year. The provision is the result of the actual, worldwide financial crisis which also has negative effects on GEWD´s Chinese customers. GEWD currently is engaged in negotiations with the concerned debtors in order to achieve a timely solution. The exact amount of the required provision can not therefore be quantified at this time. Against this background, the planned group results for the fiscal year 2008 are no longer reachable. Depending upon the exact amount of the provision for the fiscal year 2008 the group results (EBIT) may become negative.
