Solar-Fabrik AG (ISIN: DE0006614712) has signed a final agreement to acquire
50.01% of the shares of SolSystems Energy GmbH (registered under HRB Nr.
24510 in Augsburg, Germany) on August 1, 2011. This move reinforces Solar-
Fabrik´s market presence not only in Germany but also and particularly in
the European Southeast.
SolSystems Energy GmbH (SSE) has its headquarters in Stadtbergen, Bavaria,
Germany, and develops and installs PV solar systems. The current owners of
the company are GCS Capital Management GmbH, Gundremmingen, Germany, and Pro
Cura Vermögensverwaltungs- und -treuhand GmbH, Augsburg, Germany. Both
owners have agreed to sell 50.01% of their shares to Solar-Fabrik AG for a
total of 400,000 euros, with additional 120,000 euros as incentive if the
targets for 2011 are met.
With this move the board of Solar-Fabrik AG and the shareholders of
SolSystems Energy GmbH envision to enhance their business prospects overall,
but particularly in cases when a close cooperation between installer and
manufacturer provides a key aspect for success. With that differentiator in
mind both companies are particularly oriented towards the European
Southeast. The cooperation between the two companies has been proven during
several PV projects built in 2010. All current shareholders of SSE remain
engaged in the company and expect that the closer cooperation with Solar-
Fabrik AG will generate faster growth.
Solar-Fabrik AG has shipped approximately 56 MWp during the first half year
2011, representing yet another volume growth compared to first half 2010
(approximately 52 MWp). The 7% increase is a sign of Solar-Fabrik´s
excellent market position in Europe, especially in light of the reportedly
weak market. Solar-Fabrik therefore assumes that it has again achieved its
strategic goal of increasing their market share.
