MatchNet plc Announces Appointment of CEO Appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as Independent Auditors (E)

LOS ANGELES, CA - 25.02.2004 - MatchNet plc (MHJG: Frankfurt Stock
Exchange - Prime Standard), one of the largest providers of online
personals worldwide, announced today that it has named Todd Tappin as
the Company’s new CEO. Formerly, Mr. Tappin was CFO of Overture
Services, which was recently successfully sold to Yahoo!, Inc., a
transaction that Todd co-led.  MatchNet’s founding chairman and CEO,
Joe Shapira, and founding president, Alon Carmel, will take on the
roles of co-chairman.  Mr. Shapira and Mr. Carmel remain actively
involved in product design and development initiatives as well as
driving expansion into new markets.

MatchNet also announced today that it has appointed Ernst & Young LLP
as the Company's independent auditors starting with the year ended
December 31, 2003. The appointment of Ernst & Young was made after
careful consideration by the Board of Directors, and the management
of the company and concludes an extensive evaluation process.

With the additional appointment of Ernst & Young, MatchNet has put in
place the essential management and structural dimension necessitated
to support the planned NASDAQ listing. In addition, further
announcements of new appointments to our board of directors are
expected to additionally endorse this initiative.
