quarter 2004/05

Stuttgart, February 11, 2005 - Heiler Software AG, one of the leading suppliers of electronic product information solutions and catalog management systems, publishes today its results for the first quarter ending December 31, 2004.
Based on consolidated figures in accordance with IFRS, sales revenues for the first quarter 2004/05 increased by 0.24 million Euro to 1.5 million Euro (+19%) when compared to the corresponding period of the prior year. The sales growth is attributable to all business segments. The sales increase led in conjunction with a decrease in total costs by 0.17 million Euro to 1.82 million Euro when compared to the corresponding period of the prior year to an improvement of earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) from -0.73 million Euro to -0.30 million Euro (+0.43 million Euro). Earnings before taxes improved in the first quarter 2004/05 when compared to the corresponding period of the prior year from -0.64 million Euro to -0.19 million Euro and net loss improved from -0.55 million Euro to -0.19 million Euro. Accordingly, the loss per share decreased from -0.05 Euro to -0.02 Euro.
As at December 31, 2004, shareholders equity amounts to 18.2 million Euro (represents 94% of total assets) and cash and cash equivalents amount to 16.7 million Euro. Thus, Heiler Software continues to retain a very solid financial position.
Based on current actual outstanding orders and potential future orders, Heiler Software AG expects for the current fiscal year especially for the strong margin fields of the license and ASP-business a continuance of the double-digit growth rates and a continuance of the significant improvement in the results of operations.
