HAMBURG, Dec. 5, 2005. Dr. Christoph H. Seibt, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of D+S europe AG (ISIN DE0005336804), will depart from the Companys board with effect as of Dec. 31, 2005. The Company is extremely grateful to Dr. Seibt for his successful performance and the commitment to the Company he has shown in his office over many years. He will be succeeded as Chairman by Klaus Thiemann. The Company has taken the necessary measures for this transition. Mr. Thiemann is a knowledgeable expert on the telecommunication industry who most recently as a senior executive of Arcor AG & Co. KG was responsible for the successful restructuring of that companys private customer activities. Mr. Thiemann, whose business career included the position of managing director of E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH, is therefore, especially as a result of his experience and expertise in the area of customer-value management, ideally suited for the chairmanship of D+S europe AG and has the qualifications required to further expansion of the Companys business activities.
