Ad Hoc Notice Pursuant to § 15 of the German Securities Trade Act
The issuer of this notice is solely responsible for its content(Berlin, May 7, 2007) The Management Board of W.O.M. WORLD OF MEDICINE AG was informed today that ATON GmbH, Fulda, took over 100% of the IBL Industrial Broad-Spectrum Laser AG shares, a former subsidiary of W.O.M. WORLD OF MEDICINE AG.
Based on that, WORLD OF MEDICINE expects a short term extraordinary profit amounting to approximately EUR1.1 million as well as the release from a guaranty to IB Laser AG and resulting contingent liabilities in the amount of approximately EUR1.0 million.
The extraordinary profit was not accounted for in the planned consolidated net income for the year 2007. Among other things, WORLD OF MEDICINE will use the inflow to realize projects planned for 2008 already in 2007.
