Hans-Ludwig Grüschow to resign as Chairman of
Techem AGs Supervisory Board (E)

Eschborn, 12th August 2003. Hans-Ludwig Grüschow, informed the Techem AG Supervisory Board in its todays meeting that he will resign as Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board with immediate effect. Hans-Ludwig Grüschow has been Chairman of the Management Board since 1990, Chairman of the Board of Directors since 1993 and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Techem AG since April 1999.
Prof. Dr. Horst Ziegler, until now Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board was appointed new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Prof. Dr. Ziegler is Professor for Applied Physics a the University of Paderborn and a member of Techem AGs Supervisory Board since 2001.
Harald Bieler, member of Techem AGs Supervisory Board since 1994 was appointed Deputy Chairman.
Also the Supervisory Board appointed with immediate effect Peter Wunderlich, until now Head of Group Controlling as Chief Financial Officer of Techem AG.
