Ad hoc Disclosure pursuant to Art. 15 WpHG
Hannover, 23 January 2009. PANDATEL AG (ISIN DE0006916307), listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (General Standard). According to preliminary group financial statements (IFRS), group sales of PANDATEL AG amounted to Euro 3.9m in fiscal year 2007 compared to Euro 9.1m in fiscal year 2006. The reason for the decrease in sales is that the operational business was discontinued as of 31 December 2007.
Group earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) improved from Euro -6.2m 2006 to Euro -4.3m 2007. Cash position amounted to Euro 1.4m at 31 December 2007 (2006 comparison: Euro 2.3m). In addition short term investments (securities) totaled Euro 2.9m (2006: Euro 2.9m). The result was materially impacted by constant losses from operational business, because fixed costs could not be adjusted to declining turnover fast enough. Further the result was subject to unscheduled depreciation on fixed assets (Euro 0.76m) and inventory (Euro 0.26m) as well as an appropriation to liquidation provisions (Euro 0.74m).
For 2008, because of liquidation provisions set aside in 2007, the company expects a roughly balanced result.
The company will present additional figures for fiscal year 2007 in its annual report 2007 to be published shortly.
