Peter Sami joins Bank Sarasin as new
head of the Logistics Division

On 1 May 2008 Peter Sami will take over as Head of the Logistics Division at Bank Sarasin. He assumes the role from Joachim H. Straehle, CEO of Bank Sarasin, who has been acting as temporary head since September 2007. Peter Sami will also sit on Sarasin's Executive Committee. Peter Sami´s main task in his new post will be to continuously develop the bank´s logistical organisation and processes so as to provide full and effective support for Bank Sarasin´s growth strategy.
Sarasin´s Board of Directors has appointed Peter Sami the new Head of the Logistics Division and member of the Executive Committee, with effect from 1 May 2008. Peter Sami joins Bank Sarasin from Swiss Financial Market Services AG, where he was CEO of the Securities Services Division (formerly SIS Swiss Financial Services Group AG up to 31.12.2007). Peter Sami has many years of experience and in-depth industry knowledge, and is extremely well qualified to oversee the Logistics Division´s pivotal role within the bank as it pursues its dynamic expansion strategy.

One of Peter Sami´s priorities will be to implement the SaraFIT project (FIT = Future Information Technology), which was launched in the summer of 2007. Once these decisions have been implemented, our back office processes should become even more cost-efficient.
