Advanced Medien AG scores major success in lawsuit against MAXXFilm (E)

In the lawsuit of Advanced Licencing GmbH against MAXXFilm Produktions GmbH, the Munich Regional Court I today declared all transactions with MAXXFilm GmbH that were concluded in 1999 and 2000 null and void. The court thus granted Advanced Medien's application to declare these transaction null and void as they are considered to be sham transactions. As a result, all film rights arising from these transactions remain with Advanced. This judgment also confirms the subsequent revision of the annual financial statements of Advanced Medien AG for fiscal years 1999 and 2000, in which these transactions were eliminated based on the findings of an expert opinion. A decision on the alternative cross-applications filed by MAXXFilm will be made with the final judgment.
