with FAST TV SERVER AG (E)

Munich, September 30, 2003 - Advanced Medien AG and FAST TV SERVER AG, two Munich-based companies, today announced that they have signed a draft merger agreement and submitted it to the Munich Local Court for entry into the commercial register.
FAST TV SERVER AG develops and markets innovative products, technologies and services for an enhanced TV viewing experience. Among others, this includes hard disk recorders for real Personal TV. The main purpose of the merged company will be to further develop and market the products developed by FAST TV SERVER AG. The film assets of Advanced Medien AG will continue to be marketed in the film licensing business segment.
The Company's shareholders will soon receive an invitation to an extraordinary general meeting on December 1, 2003 in Munich, which will vote on the merger and the planned capital measures. At that time, the draft merger agreement, annual financial statements and management reports, interim balance sheets as of June 30, 2003 of the two companies and the audit report of the court-appointed merger auditor will be available for inspection in the offices of the two companies.
