Vienna, 1st July 2003 - S&T System Integration & Technology
Distribution AG ("S&T"; Vienna Stock Exchange: SNT; Nasdaq Europe:
SNTS; OTC: STSQY), a leading provider of IT services in Central,
Eastern and Southern Europe wins major contracts from leading mobile
communications providers Mobiltel AD in Bulgaria and Mobifon in
Romania, once again demonstrating its competence in data storage and
data security technologies. The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance also
relies on the Austrian IT company's expertise and experience.S&T is building an additional data centre for Mobiltel, the biggest GSM operator in Bulgaria with a market share of around 80 percent. This second centre will take over all critical business processes without interruption in the event of problems or failures at the main centre. For additional safety, the data centres are several kilometres apart and connected by high-speed lines. The solution developed by S&T is compatible with Mobiltel's existing infrastructure, allowing the market leader to recoup the cost of its investment within a shorter period of time.
Lef Feldkhun, IT director of Mobiltel: "This project guarantees the protection of mission-critical data and business processes. It is already our second successful cooperation with S&T and we have always been very satisfied with S&T's services in the past. Mobiltel expects a solution that will meet our requirements in every respect and we are looking forward to another successful cooperation with S&T." The project, that also includes a 3-year service agreement, will be completed in September 2003.
State-of-the-art Storage Technology for Romania Mobifon SA - the leading GSM provider in Romania - continues to place its data security in the hands of S&T and is bringing its complex data security architecture and central data archiving up to the latest technological standard. This investment was prompted by the increased flow of information between the various telecom-specific applications and will significantly increase the company's competitive edge in a dynamic and competitive market. S&T experts developed a solution tailored to the needs of the customer and realised it with the latest storage technology and management software from EMC.
S&T networks the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance S&T is also demonstrating its competence in data security solutions in Ukraine. Together with local partner, ICEMD, the company is realising a project for the Ministry of Finance that will permit the networking of storage technology with the help of a SAN solution (Storage Area Network) over large distances. The project will be carried out in stages, with the first phase scheduled for completion in August.

The three projects have a total order value of around USD 3.5 million.
