SoftM Software und Beratung AG (ISIN: DE0007249104), Munich, achieved group revenues of 47,0 million Euro (previous year 53.8) for the first nine months of business year 2003. Revenues in the business unit standard software were 11.2 million Euro (previous year 11.0), in consulting 16.9 million Euro (previous year 18.1) and in hardware 18.9 million Euro (previous year 24.7).
The result before taxes, interests, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in the first nine months of 2003 amounted to 3.1 million Euro (previous year 5.0). The result of common business activities (EBT: operating result) amounted to - 1.3 million Euro as compared to the EBT of the previous year of 0.7 milion Euro. Group result after three quarters was -1.3 million Euro (previous year - 0.2). Group result per share was - 0.26 Euro (previous year - 0.05). Operating cash flow for the reporting period amounted to 10.4 million Euro (previous year 4.9).
The improved general economic mood has not, as yet, led to a noticeable improvement in the investment climate for ERP software. Nonetheless, SoftM is expecting a traditionally strong fourth quarter with considerably increased revenues and results compared to the average of the previous quarters. SoftM is reckoning with a positive Group-EBT of approx. 0.3 million Euro for business year 2003.

SoftM Software und Beratung AG, Munich, is a leading provider of business standard software. Central product is the ERP software SoftM Suite by which the business processes of mid-sized companies can be depicted in a uniform system. In addition, SoftM offers its customers a complete range of consulting services for the standard software and integrated partner products (e.g. groupware, document management, content management). These services offered by SoftM are complemented by hardware and therewith related infrastructure services. SoftM, founded in 1973, serves 3,400 clients with a team of around 450 employees at 16 locations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Czech Republic. In the business year 2002 Group revenues amounted to 75.9 million Euro.
