SoftM Software und Beratung AG, Munich has acquired Solitas Informatik AG, Buchs (Switzerland) retroactively as of July 1, 2005. The InfoStore product line, the leading document management system based on the platform IBM iSeries in the German speaking world, will be continued and further adapted to meet the needs of small-and-medium sized companies.
The takeover of the InfoStore product line supplements the already existing range of products and services in the system integration business unit. The takeover of Solitas Informatik AG allows SoftM, which up till now has been the most important sales partner of InfoStore, to be able to secure the investments of the approximately 180 customers being already served by SoftM.
Over 900 companies, predominately in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, employ Infostore for electronic archiving and document management solutions. The Solitas Informatik AG with headquarters in Buch, Switzerland is a specialized software provider in the electronic archiving and document management sector and with this portfolio it achieved revenues of approximately 4 million Euro in 2004 while employing approximately 35 employees. Franz Wiesholler, a member of the Management Board of SoftM AG, will assume the management of the company.
