Sunways AG enters into a contract on the supply
of wafers with Deutsche Solar AG

Sunways AG (Macairestraße 3 - 5, D-78467 Konstanz, ISIN DE0007332207, ISIN DE000A0BNPN0) has entered into a contract on the supply of multicrystalline silicon wafers with Deutsche Solar AG, Freiberg / Germany, a 100 percent affiliate of SolarWorld AG, on 17 August 2006.
The contract will apply as from 2009 for a 10-year term. It relates to Deutsche Solar AG's delivery of silicon wafers for the production of multicrystalline solar cells corresponding to 70 megawatts by Sunways AG. The contract provides for downpayments to be made by Sunways that will be deducted from the purchase price whenever wafers are bought.
The contract was entered into on adequate terms and serves to secure the raw material requirements of Sunways AG in the long term. Other projects relating to the supply of raw materials in the short and medium term are under way.
Currently, Sunways AG has a total production capacity of 46 megawatts.
