Our future will be built on new ideas. And this also holds true of the Swiss electricity industry. To promote the new pioneers and team them up with the right stakeholders, the xplor Startup Village will be opening its doors for the second time at the Powertage 2020. From 16 to 18 June 2020, the most promising Swiss energy startups will be meeting up with the who's who of the energy sector.
xplor Startup Competition
As one of Switzerland's biggest energy startup competitions, the xplor Startup Competition brings outstanding startups together with stakeholders from the energy sector. To be able to participate as a startup, interested parties must go through an application procedure. Anyone who fulfils the participation criteria can take part in the xplor Startup Competition up to 28 February 2020. The ten most outstanding startups can then present themselves at the Powertage 2020 free of charge. A prior public voting session will give one startup the opportunity to secure a place at the Powertage through the visitors' vote. The remaining nine places will be awarded by a national panel of experts. More information on participation may be found at xplor.ch.
xplor Startup Village
In the xplor Startup Village, the winners of the xplor Startup Competition will have the unique opportunity to present themselves and their innovative ideas, prototypes, products and services to key industry representatives, customers and investors. Here, the participating startups will generate visibility and publicity and boost their own marketing. An exciting mix of product demonstrations, prototypes, pitches in the xplor Speaker's Corner and personal discussions awaits visitors.
Powertage 2020
The xplor Startup Competition is an initiative of the Powertage exhibition and its partners who are working together to showcase and promote the mood of excitement about the future in Switzerland's energy branch. The Powertage have been part of the MCH Group's portfolio since 2004 and are being staged at Messe Zurich for the ninth time already from 16 to 18 June 2020.
