Curanum AG and Kräutergarten Betriebs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH have today signed a purchase agreement whereby the "Armbrustergasse" senior care facility in Vienna will be sold to the Kräutergarten Group with effect as of December 31, 2010 / January 1, 2011. "With this step we aim to further expand the good positioning of the Kräutergarten Group within Vienna thanks to this care facility's attractive location," commented Harald Fischl, Managing Director of Kräutergarten Betriebs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. Around 130 occupants currently live at the "Armbrustergasse" care facility. "At Curanum, we aim to concentrate in the future on our core German business, and we are pleased that, in the Kräutergarten Group, we have found a strong partner who should be successful in implementing sustainable improvements to both the cost structures and the services for occupants through the local association of
facilities that it owns," commented Walther Wever, Curanum AG CEO. Confidentiality has been agreed between the contractual partners concerning the purchase price and other general terms of the agreement. The closing of the agreement is planned to occur during the course of the first quarter of 2011 once corresponding third-party declarations have been submitted.
