Frankfurt am Main, November 25th, 2004: Neue Sentimental Film AG, an international leading producer and service company in the field of advertising films, corporate and brand communication, music videos and TV productions promulgates today its 3rd quarter business figures for 2004.
After the successful restructuring the company sees itself approved in its orientation to growth. With the formation of the NSF Espana Ltd. in Barcelona and the therewith associated acquisition of a local production company NSF AG assures its continuing expansion in the Spanish speaking area. With the consolidation that will be possible as of the fourth quarter 2004 the annual turnover forecast is now EUR 32 million. Therewith the lasting exceeding of the so far break-even-turnover of EUR 26 million is attained. With this step the corporate group also assures the opening up of the continuously growing South American markets. The acquisition has been financed by a capital increase out of the authorized capital stock at the amount of 844.999 shares which have been allotted successfully.
Despite the continuing difficult market conditions and the stagnancy of the German advertising market NSF was even able to keep to its forecast of a EUR 18 million turnover for Q3 without any consolidation effects. Though the EBIT and the EBITDA are still slightly negative by EUR 0.4 million (previous year: EUR -1.2 million) or rather EUR 0.1 million (previous year: EUR -0.8 million). That fact is mainly due to trailing costs of the successfully accomplished restructuring. Based on still decreasing costs and an ongoing growth this operating result should show again an operating profit of up to seven percent in the future.
The cyclical business environment of the advertising industry is actually still on the same level it has been seven years ago. The domain of producing advertising films suffered in this regard above average. The management of Neue Sentimental Film AG therefore is heading to adjust the whole affiliated group to an autonomous growth and profitability. Last years processing shows impressively that this target will be reached immediately. While annual sales from Neue Sentimental Film AG grew more than 70 per cent in the last seven years - the average cash receipts in the German media business lost even 7 per cent during this period.
