Frankfurt Main, November, 18th 2005 - Neue Sentimental Film AG (WKN 534140), a leading internationally operating media-company for the production of advertising films, TV formats, corporate and brand communications, increased according to their preliminary figures the turnover of the third quarter to EUR 9,4 million. Compared to the previous years value of EUR 6,1 million this is an increase of 54%. The NSF Espana LTD., acquired in the second half of 2004, was not contained in the figures of the year before.
Because of the further increase of the advertising film business in Spain, the result of the third quarter of 2005 is still burdened. In the period July to September 2005 the EBIT amounted to EUR -550 thousand, compared to EUR -253 thousand in last year`s period. The development of the Spanish market activities is leading to a temporary downturn of the gross profit margin of the group. Whereas turnover and costs have been developed according to budgeting, is the outcome of this, a result, which is strongly beyond one´s expectations. In spite of the current profit downturn, the Neue Sentimental Film AG has determined further savings by optimising the company. Anyhow the expected noticeable positive amount share for the fourth quarter won´t last for a balanced EBIT.
After 9 months the turnover was EUR 23,8 million, which is an increase of 31,5% compared to EUR 18,1 million of the first three quarters one year ago. The EBIT amounted to EUR -1.400 thousand, compared to EUR -443 thousand, in the period January to September of last year.
Neue Sentimental Film AG clings unchanged to medium-term aims. Because of that, the turnover will be expanded profitably for at least EUR 45 Mio. up to 2007.
