Frankfurt am Main, May 28, 2008 - Neue Sentimental Film AG (ISIN: DE0005341408), a leading, international company for the production of advertising films and TV formats, continued the positive growth set in the first quarter of 2008 with operating profit (EBIT) in the first quarter of 2008.
Revenues totaled EUR 8.48 million compared to EUR 9.20 million in the first quarter of 2007. EBIT was positive, right on schedule, for the first time in the first quarter since fiscal year 2001 and totaled EUR 0.01 million (previous year: EUR -0.06 million). The net result of EUR -0.17 million (previous year: EUR -0.12 million) was lower than the previous year as tax expenses were up EUR 0.08 million and minority interests were up EUR 0.03 million, as profits were mostly recorded by foreign majority-owned companies.
The strategic on-track growth was given a significant boost with the acquisition of the Telemaz Group on April 9, 2008. The acquired companies in the Telemaz Group will be consolidated for the first time from the second quarter of 2008.
