Highwave Optical Technologies Announces the Appointment of Philippe Brégi, Former CEO of Avanex France and COO of Alcatel Optronics, as a Member of the Advisory Board of Directors

Highwave Optical Technologies (Nouveau Marché, HGWO), a leading European technology supplier of active fibre based components and subsystems for the telecommunication, industrial and defence markets, announced today a strengthening of its management team through the appointment of Mr. Philippe Brégi to the Advisory Board.
With more than 28 years experience in the telecommunication industry, Philippe Brégi is recognized widely as an expert in the field of optical transmission.
Until recently, Philippe was the Chief Executive Officer of Avanex France, a position he held following the acquisition by Avanex of the optical component activity of Alcatel.
Prior to that, Philippe served as Chief Operating Officer of Alcatel Optronics, after having occupied various positions in the Alcatel Group, both in the optical system and the optical component domains.
