austriamicrosystems (SWX:AMS) has announced that Arturo Krueger, a member of the supervisory board, will give up his board seat for personal reasons by the end of the year. A successor will be appointed at the next Annual General Meeting.
Mr. Krueger joined the board in July 2001 and was instrumental in the new strategic direction of the company which occurred when the private equity funds advised by Permira took the company private. His many years of experience in the semiconductor and automobile industry as well as his active participation in the new positioning of the automotive business unit are particularly appreciated.
Mr. Guido Klestil, Supervisory Board Chairman of austriamicrosystems AG and the Executive Board wish to express their thanks for Mr. Kruegers excellent cooperation and efforts on behalf of the company. The company wishes Mr. Krueger further success in all his endeavours.
