Front Porch Digital Announces Plans for IBC 2004 International Exhibition

Front Porch Digital (OTC Bulletin Board: FPDI) today announced its plans for the upcoming International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2004 to be held in Amsterdam from September 10 through September 14.
The Company will be presenting in its own booth (# 9.359) and be represented in the booths of its industry partners Thomson Broadcast & Media Solutions (# 11.551), Blue Order (# 3.438), Harris Corporation (# 8.291) and Incite Multimedia Corporation (# 7.210). Front Porch will be presenting and demonstrating DIVArchive, its market-leading archive management software, as well as BitScream, a best of breed application for transcoding between disparate video server formats.
In the global shift from video tape based systems to all-digital environments, Front Porch Digital provides broadcasters with the storage and archive management software that links video stored as files on video servers or video network storage systems to disk, tape or optical based storage systems, which serve as the medium and long-term repository.
Front Porch Digital's products allow users to move material from/to video servers and/or to/from storage resources under the control of an application, such as automation or asset management. During the transfers, material can be converted to different formats allowing interoperability between any video source and any video destination. During IBC, Front Porch will be presenting the following new solutions and features in cooperation with its industry partners:
- Browse archive: an integrated low cost solution for storing,
searching, and visualizing content from desktop PCs. This solution
integrates DIVArchive and Blue Order's flagship product
MediaArchive(R) Professional.
- Newsbrowse archive: an integrated solution for news archive and
browsing. This solution integrates DIVArchive and Thomson's Grass
Valley NewsBrowse(TM) Web-based Browser/Editor system.
- Quantel Clipbox and sQ interoperability: an integrated solution
allowing Clipbox customers to move to sQ environments, with the
option to extend Quantel storage through a nearline or deep archive.
This solution integrates DIVArchive and BitScream with Quantel's
Clipbox and sQ products.
- DIVArchive integration into Digital Media Platform: this integration
brings storage and archive management capabilities to the Digital
Media Platform initiative developed by HP.
- Archive-In-A-Box: an appliance providing plug and play storage and
archive for small to medium broadcast customers. This solution
integrates DIVArchive and Breece Hill's iStoRA(TM) product to provide
a complete archive solution utilizing the latest Disk to Disk and
