Schaffner Group appoints Vice President Global Manufacturing - Further strengthening of key Asian market

The Board of Directors of Schaffner Holding AG
(SWX Swiss Exchange: SAHN) has appointed Mr Ah Bee Goh (*1950) as
Vice President Global Manufacturing and member of the Executive Board
of the Schaffner Group with effect from July 1, 2007. Based at the
Schaffner plant in Thailand, he will be responsible for overseeing
the Schaffner Group's global manufacturing. After the Vice President
Asia Business Development, Ah Bee Goh is the second member of the
eight-strong Schaffner Executive Board to be domiciled in Asia.
The new Vice President Global Manufacturing of the Schaffner Group
is a citizen of Singapore. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of
Science degree in Production Engineering from University of
Strathclyde and also an MSc in Industrial Engineering from National
University of Singapore, and holds an MBA from the University of
Surrey as well as an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester.
After being employed in management positions in globally active
companies, including various hard-disk drive manufacturers, in 1991
he took over at Leica Instruments in Singapore with a workforce of
around 600, where he served as Managing Director until his move to
the Schaffner Group. Commenting on the appointment, Alexander
Hagemann, Chief Executive Officer of the Schaffner Group, said: "With
his extensive know-how and in-depth experience at management level,
Mr Ah Bee Goh will strengthen the Schaffner Group's global
manufacturing and, thanks to his roots in the Asian market, play a
key role in expanding our activities in this important region."

    Schaffner Group confirms strong demand in 1st quarter of 2006/2007

    Luterbach (ots)- Over the business first quarter of 2006/2007, Schaffner Holding AG (SWX Swiss Exchange: SAHN) increased its net sales of electromagnetic-compatibility and power-quality components by 16.7% on the previous year's figure to CHF 34.1 million (CHF 29.3 million).
