DuPont Titanium Technologies Announces a Price Increase for Titanium Dioxide Grades in EMEA Region

DuPont Titanium Technologies today announced a price increase in Europe, Middle East and Africa for all DuPont(TM) titanium dioxide grades.
Effective Oct. 1, 2004, or as permitted by contract, prices for all titanium dioxide grades in Europe will increase 110 euro per tonne and 150 US dollar per tonne in the Middle East and Africa.
These price increases are necessary due to the need to improve reinvestment economics required for capital funding to support industry growth. These increases are also supported by macro-economic strength driving very strong global TiO2 demand and extremely high industry capacity utilization rates, supporting worldwide recovery.
Other regional increases will be announced directly within the local regions.
