The USU World conference on 19 & 20 May is the first international industry conference for knowledge-based IT and service management. This multifaceted topic will be discussed in the historic premises of Ludwigsburg Palace by over 150 specialists and managers from both Germany and overseas. Together and from different perspectives - but always rooted in real-world practice - we will investigate how transparent information can be a vital tool for knowledge-intensive service processes. Whether in technical support, operational IT, the call center or other areas, need-based service knowledge makes companies more productive and more agile. Costs are reduced and risks are minimized. On a global scale. The USU World conference follows the tradition of the USU customer conferences, which reach the 20-year milestone in 2010. The aim of this year´s anniversary event is to offer both existing and potential customers as well as partners from 15 nations an interactive professional forum with many practical benefits and insights. You´ll get the full picture in presentations, moderated discussions, workshops and demonstrations as well as in one-on-one conversations.
Top-notch, internationally renowned keynote speakers and subject-area specialists will offer their insights into strategically oriented topics, yet also present practical topics on a much applied level. For example, David Ratcliffe, President and CEO of the well-respected ITIL consultancy Pink Elephant, will talk about `Knowledge as a critical factor for success when implementing IT service management´. Jens Bohlen from the Services Divisional Board at Wincor-Nixdorf will be speaking, as will Philippe De Geyter from the Managing Board for Information Technology at Deutsche Leasing AG, and Alessandro Musumeci, CIO of the Italian state railways. Last but certainly not least, Erwin Staudt, President of the VfB Stuttgart soccer team, will look at how companies can learn from their customers. A team of simultaneous interpreters will render the main presentation series in German and English.
Hans-Peter Fröschle, Managing Director of itSMF Deutschland, will present the findings of the latest market study "Configuration Management 2010". The event will focus to a high degree on practical implementation: organizations such as Allianz Shared Infrastructure Services, City of Cologne, Germany, Swiss utility company Berner Kraftwerke, gkvi and the Touring Club of Switzerland will be reporting on their practical experiences. As early as May 18, potential customers will have the opportunity to attend three intensive workshops on the topics of license management, service specification and ITIL v3. The international partner meeting will take place on the same day.
The USU World conference is supported by our partners BDNA, Computacenter, Deutsche Leasing, Glaux Soft, IDS Scheer, MOD and Red Hat, who will be presenting their own products and services.
