Nissan Europe Reports February Sales

Nissan Europe reported total sales of 34,542 vehicles (1) in February 2005, a decrease of 6.9% over the same month last year.
In the two month period from January to February 2005, Nissan Europe sold 72,085 units, 7% down from last year.
Highlights by Country
Nissan in France sold 3,635 units in February, registering a 7.9% increase compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2005, Nissan sold 6,096 units in France, down by 11% compared to last year.
In Germany, Nissan sold 3,149 units in February, representing a decrease of 21.3% compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2005, Nissan sold 5,812 units in Germany, 19.3% down from last year.
In Italy, Nissan sold 4,978 units in February, down 28.9% against last year. In the two month period from January to February 2005, Nissan sales in Italy fell to 9,837 units, down by 30.1% compared to last year.
Nissan in Spain sold 5,445 units in February, up 21% compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2005, Nissan sales in Spain rose to 9,776 units up by 12% compared to last year.
In the UK, Nissan sold 2,961 units, a decrease of 30.3% compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2005, Nissan's sales in the UK fell to 10,353 units, down 9.9% compared to last year.
In Russia, Nissan sold 1,903 units in February, up 86.6% against last year. In the two month period from January to February 2005, Nissan sales in Russia rose to 3,421 units, up by 110% compared to last year.
Model Highlights
The Micra sold 10,288 units in February representing a decrease of 12% against the same month last year. In the two month period from January to February 2005, total Micra sales reached 19,393 units, down 17.8% compared to last year.
X-TRAIL sales decreased by 4% in February against the same month last year to 4,292 units. In the two month period from January to February 2005, total X-TRAIL sales reached 9,375 units, up by 0.3% compared to last year.
Pickup sales decreased by 8.6% in February against the same month last year to 2,418 units. In the two month period from January to February 2005, total Pickup sales reached 5,398 units, down 7.7% compared to last year
