Nissan Europe Reports April Sales

Nissan Europe reported total sales of 49,231 vehicles (1) in April 2005, an increase of 4.3% over the same month last year.
In the four month period from January to April 2005, Nissan Europe sold 181,960 units, 1.9% down from last year.
Highlights by Country
- Nissan in France sold 4,792 units in April, registering an 11.1% increase compared to last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, Nissan sold 15,894 units in France, down by 0.6% compared to last year.
- In Germany, Nissan sold 5,786 units in April, representing a decrease of 0.7% compared to last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, Nissan sold 16,648 units in Germany, 4.1% down from last year.
- In Italy, Nissan sold 6,371 units in April, down 9% against last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, Nissan sales in Italy fell to 22,788 units, down by 21.4% compared to last year.
- In Russia, Nissan sold 3,685 units in April, up 124% against last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, Nissan sales in Russia rose to 9,675 units, up by 110.5% compared to last year.
- Nissan in Spain sold 6,363 units in April, up 10.3% compared to last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, Nissan sales in Spain rose to 22,648 units up by 8.1% compared to last year.
- In the UK, Nissan sold 8,089 units, an increase of 10.3% compared to last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, Nissan's sales in the UK fell to 36,033 units, down 3.3% compared to last year.
Model Highlights
- The Micra sold 15,979 units in April representing an increase of 7.5% against the same month last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, total Micra sales reached 55,368 units, down 7.2% compared to last year.
- X-TRAIL sales decreased by 3.7% in April against the same month last year to 5,270 units. In the four month period from January to April 2005, total X-TRAIL sales reached 21,050 units, down by 0.3% compared to last year.
- Pickup sales decreased by 14.6% in April against the same month last year to 3,070 units. In the four month period from January to April 2005, total Pickup sales reached 12,219 units, down 13.5% compared to last year
