Nissan Europe Reports September Sales

Nissan Europe reported total sales of 72,419 vehicles (1) in September 2005, an increase of 45.6% over the same month last year. This sets an all time sales record for Nissan in Europe.
In the nine month period from January to September 2005, Nissan Europe sold 445,059 units, 8.1% up from last year.
HIGHLIGHTS BY COUNTRY
- Nissan in France sold 5,857 units in September, registering a 41.1% increase compared to last year and set an all time monthly sales record. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, Nissan sold 39,121 units in France, up by 10% compared to last year.
- In Germany, Nissan sold 6,294 units in September, representing an increase of 40.9% compared to last year. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, Nissan sold 44,128 units in Germany, 0.5% up from last year.
- In Italy, Nissan sold 5,763 units in September, up 20.4% against last year. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, Nissan sales in Italy fell to 46,104 units, down by 19.5% compared to last year.
- In Russia, Nissan sold 4,036 units in September, up 61.1% against last year. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, Nissan sales in Russia rose to 32,905 units, up by 73.6% compared to last year.
- Nissan in Spain sold 7,402 units in September, up 56.5% compared to last year. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, Nissan sales in Spain rose to 55,983 units up by 14% compared to last year.
- In the UK, Nissan sold 21,164 units an increase of 30.6% compared to last year and set an all time monthly sales record. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, Nissan's sales in the UK reached 88,027 units, up 9.1% compared to last year.
MODEL HIGHLIGHTS
- The Micra sold 23,786 units in September representing an increase of 47% against the same month last year. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, total Micra sales reached 134,601 units, up 4% compared to last year.
- X-TRAIL sales increased by 53.3% in September against the same month last year to 9,423 units. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, total X-TRAIL sales reached 51,032 units, up by 7.2% compared to last year.
- Murano sold 1,183 units in September. In the nine month period from January to September 2005, total Murano sales reached 7,145 units.
- Pathfinder sold 3,055 units in September. Since its launch in March, Pathfinder sales reached 15,057 units.
- Navara sold 4,467 units in September. Since its launch in July, total Navara sales reached 7,225 units.
